The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.”
Psalms 19:7 NASB
I read the verse above this morning I’m not stirred a king longing within me for God to work wisdom into me. What is a precious promise that God‘s word is one of the tools he uses to cultivate wisdom in us
How do we define what is the time ? (What is it?)
  1. the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise.

    • the soundness of an action or decision with regard to the application of experience, knowledge, and good judgment.

How do we acquire it? (what is needed in order to receive it?)

*Have a fear of the Lord. Reverence and respect for God is foundational and being a wise individual.

Psalm 111:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. 

*Be Humble Humility is necessary for the acquisition of wisdom.

Proverbs 15:33
The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility comes before honor.

*We also need to be willing to listen to advice and take instruction. 

Proverbs 19;20
Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.

*We can acquire wisdom by walking with God for many years. 
Job 12:12-13
Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days. “With God are wisdom and might; 

How do we apply it? (Why is it important?)

*Wisdom helps to set proper priorities

Ephesians 5:15-17Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
*Wisdom enables us to teach others and causes us to worship.

Colossians 319
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Proverbs 17 27–28
Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.

Happy Birthday Tanner!

Today is my beloved dog Tanner's birthday. It's a nice time to reflect on how special he is, and how grateful I am to have him as an important part of my life. It's also a good excuse to "brag" about him and share some favorite pictures: This is when we first met. I can hardly believe it has been three years already! Tanner won my heart right away  He can be quite silly! Tanner loves to play... But he does his job when I need him - a very talented dog indeed! He closes the door                                                            Tanner turns on and off lights And we have even had the opportunity to teach children  about service dogs. Tanner is excellent at many things ... But he is BEST at being a faithful canine companion

Tanner the Star

As I had mentioned, Tanner and I had the privilege to talk to kids about service dogs. It was quite enjoyable. The children were an eager interested audience! I tried my best to explain what a benefit Tanner is to me. Tanner is indeed a special star demonstrating some of the things he does for me.  The teacher has a blog and posted an entry about the event. Ambassador

An opportunity has arisen for Tanner and me to speak to children in public school classes about the benefits of service dogs to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities. (For those of you who may not know, Tanner is the handsome canine in the blog photo.) As I am planning the presentation, I expect I will probably talk about Tanner’s training, show some photos and perhaps a video of him doing his “work”, and of course discuss appropriate etiquette for interacting with service dogs and their partners. (I must confess that “Do Not Pet” rule is a tough one for me and my very sociable canine companion). I want to be well prepared with useful information presented in a manner that will engage the audience and be memorable. In addition to providing accurate information, I want to convey how valuable service dogs are to the humans with whom they are matched.
