All Things New

 God makes all things new.

Sometimes we may grow weary when it seems that everything is deteriorating or at least there doesn’t seem to be any change. However, we can have hope because God promises that He can and will make all things new.

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21;5

In the Bible there are specific examples of things that God will redeem, restore refresh and renew.

  • Heaven and earth

God will recreate and refresh everything so that it is glorious and free from decay degradation and depravity. There will be no more destruction and no more sin.

Revelation 22:2 -5

  • Creation

 - The earth that God had created has been subject to decay because of sin entering the world. It has been longing to be renewed and God will bring it to pass. Romans 8:22 Here is a link to an article that describes the truth of this process: https://www.gotquestions.org/new-heavens-earth.html

  • Our bodies - God will also give us bodies that are free from pain, sickness disease and aging. Revelation 14-16 3John1:2

  • Our minds - God wants to give us perfect peace. John 14:27, Isaiah 26:3 Ephesians 4:22–24

  • Our souls - God is willing and able to restore our souls. I think of the image of a master craftsman working on a valuable piece of antique furniture. It may have been worn out by the passage of time or damaged by rough handling. Skilled craftsman me at times use coarse sandpaper to smooth out rough edges and at other times he may use a soft cloth to buffi in intended shine. God knows who he created us to be and he knows how to restore us to that identity and purpose. Psalm 23

  • Our spirts - salvation -

Will be saved and regenerated Jon 3:16, Titus 3:5

Here is an inspirational song to remind us that God makes all things new. https://youtu.be/9_Q3NrB_eHM
