Adoption

Adoption

After the apostle Paul proclaimed grace and peace he went on to remind the Ephesians and us that we have been granted the privilege of adoption.

“he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Adoption into God’s family. This is such a heartwarming truth and concept to consider.

I have several friends who have expanded their families through the process of adoption. They had such great love in their hearts that they wanted to share it with children in need. The children they received into their homes and hearts  are of different races and from different countries and even have special needs. Even though they are not the same as the parents who chose them they are afforded deep love and affection as well as all the legal rights and affirmation of biological offspring.

Though we lack resemblance to our heavenly father He has chosen us in love and granted sonship and adoption to us.
