Uplifting Giving

"Blessed are the givers, thankful are the receivers" is an inscription I saw on a greeting card awhile ago. That message describes how I feel these days. If you read my previous post you are aware of the endeavor of my dear friend to raise funds for me so I may obtain equipment I need for safety and independence. I am deeply touched because people have been very kind and generous to give gifts which will greatly help to get the Surehands ceilong track lift system. I am pleased to report that I have almost one third of the sum required.

While I am incredibly grateful for thoughtfulness of those who have contributed to my access project, I feel guilty when I think of the enormous struggles others face. Just today, for example, I watched a program on TV about the crisis of hunger in America explaining that multitudes of children and families lack sufficient food. This show also offerred suggestions of ways to assist those in need. I also wanted to repost an idea for giving during this season or whenever. Christmas Jars is based on a book which desceibed collecting spare change and daily putting it in a jar and then giving it anonymously to someone in need. Here is a link to a webpage that explains the process:.

I've done a "Christmas Jar" several times at various times of the year and it is quite enjoyable

I just wanted to give an update on what I have received and share a couple other ideas for giving ... especially appropriate in this season when we celebrate the Greatest Gift of all.

Praise God! He does amazing things when His people pray.

Please do not ever feel guilty. This was God's way of answering prayers Re: your needs and to bless those that give. What He has done for you He will/can do for others. God Is Good! All The Time! Blessings, Nancy Rejholec
Happy things are going well for you with the project. God is faithful eh? Miss you!
